Henri Bonneau Dinner
with John Junguenet of Wines of France

6:30pm | $1,500
La Mercerie | 53 Howard Street, New York, NY 10013

American Express Card Member Exclusive**

The late Henri Bonneau was a legendary winemaker of Châteauneuf-du-Pape whose family’s history of winemaking in the region could be traced back to 1667. A traditionalist  in every sense of the word, Henri fermented with whole clusters, extracted gently with pump-overs, and practiced very long aging in neutral wooden vessels of various sizes. The resulting wines are still renowned throughout the world for their complexity, balance, poise, depth, and overall deliciousness.

This rare dinner will feature a number of Henri’s wines from longtime importer Alain Junguenet’s cellar, starting with his “basic” Châteauneuf, followed by a flight of his elegant “Cuvée Marie Beurrier.” After a series of “Réserve des Celestins”, Henri’s powerful cuvée usually sourced from the warm terroir of La Crau, we will finish with the rarest Bonneau wine - the Cuvée Spéciale - which was only made in two vintages from barrels that were designated to become Celestins but stopped fermenting with a few grams of sugar remaining.

Le Mâchon du Rhône Lunch
12:00pm | $195
Bar Boulud | 1900 Broadway, New York, NY 10023

Currently sold out - email us to inquire about the waitlist

A longtime Lyonnais tradition, the mâchon is a convivial meal usually served in the morning featuring hearty charcuterie and other classic dishes, all washed down with lots of Rhône & Beaujolais wine. Originally served to Lyon’s silk workers coming off the night shift, the mâchon is now more of a pastime for lovers of Lyon’s illustrious gastronomic tradition. La Tablée is thrilled to recreate a mâchon at Bar Boulud, Chef Daniel Boulud’s love letter to the charcuterie and dishes of his hometown. Winemakers Antoine Graillot, Ludivine Souhaut, Claire Michel of Le Vieux Donjon, and Isabel Ferrando of Domaine Saint-Préfert will pour wines that will perfectly complement the refined and soulful Lyon-inspired cuisine.

with Guillaume Clusel

Guillaume Clusel is a fourth generation winemaker working in the forbidding yet beautiful landscape that is Côte-Rôtie. The steep slopes and mountainous terrain means that everything in the vineyard must be done by hand, and yet Domaine Clusel-Roch was one of the first (and is still one of the only) estates in the appellation to be certified organic (since 1990), which means a tremendous amount of painstaking work goes into these wines.

Guillaume is thrilled to present a number of wines from his family estate, including two vintages of Condrieu followed by verticals of the single vineyard cuvées Viallière and Grandes Places. We will finish with a flight of Clusel’s cuvée Classique back to 1983.
